Coach Rockwell's Individual, Partner, Small Group Lessons
* There will be a limited number of spots available for baseball each week. If interested in a specific time slot, you can contact Coach Rockwell directly on his cell at (315) 657-1908 with questions or to reserve a time slot.
- Hitting, Pitching, Infield & Catching lessons are available. One-hour single lessons can be divided on the participant's interest.
When: Monday's, Wed's & Sunday's - Oct & Nov. December - March there will be more weekday evenings available if needed.
Time: Monday's & Wed's - 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm, Sunday's 8:30 am - 12:30 pm (Time slots in 1 hr. lessons each week) You will register for a specific day and time each week. Also, the Sunday and Monday dates that fall on a holiday (Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's) we will find another date/time instead during vacation week!) March times for J.V. & Varsity age players will be assigned on Sunday so times will not conflict with the school season that begins in the middle of March.
Costs:
- All cost will be paid directly to Hazen's Athletic Center Inc. prior to the start of the lesson. Participants are encouraged to book in multiple week time slots to secure availability as well as so we can show improvement from the start of the lessons to conclusion.

Coach Rockwell's Hitting Philosophy
In partner or one on one lessons, I will develop hitters using a series of hitting mechanic drills for the upper and lower body. The hitting philosophy I will teach will be for hitters to be in attack mode constantly, drive balls to the gaps, and have a full understanding of plate coverage and hitting the ball where it is pitched. In my opinion, it is very important that the drills, philosophy, and how you teach your players are all on the same page. The sessions will be precise and will avoid trying to teach everything in one session. T-drills, front toss drills, live BP, video analysis and partner instruction will be used to help the hitter understand their own strengths and weaknesses in their swing. In partner lessons, players will be partnered by age & ability so the individual can have breaks throughout the lessons as well as learn from their partner. It is not the quantity of the swings, but rather the quality of the swings!!! I will never promise that a participant will make an All Star, Travel or even school team, but will promise that the participant will be a better hitter from when they started and will have a full understanding off their own swing and what they are trying to do as a hitter.
